Swedish Massage
Primarily for relaxation. Light to medium pressure.
Gliding, flowing strokes along with the kneading of muscle tissue.
Deep Tissue Massage
Used to access deeper muscle layers. Pressure
can be deep but not always necessary. Good for chronic pain and sore, achy muscles.
NeuroMuscular Therapy (NMT)
Also known as Trigger
Point Therapy. Good for pain relief. You may experience discomfort during these sessions.
Your therapist will work with you and your breathing to assist during the uncomfortable moments.
Pregnancy
After the first trimester massage is performed on the mother-to-be
in the side lying and reclined position. Pillows are used to bolster and support. Most
pregnant women thoroughly enjoy massage.
TMJ Dysfunction
Chronic neck and head pain can be caused by the tempero-mandibular
joint (TMJ) muscles in the head, mouth and jaw. Your therapist will work the muscles on the outside as
well as the inside of the mouth. Most people with TMJ dysfunction get considerable relief from the internal
mouth work.
CranioSacral Therapy (CST)
A very gentle, non-invasive type of bodywork. Performed on a fully clothed
person with extremely light pressure. CST works to release restrictions around the brain and spinal cord
to allow the body to self-correct and free itself of pain and other health conditions.
